Celebrating Excellence at the AGC Banquet

The Associated General Contractors - Nebraska Building Chapter hosted its annual Fall Banquet, bringing together industry leaders to celebrate outstanding achievements in construction. Beckenhauer Construction is honored to have been recognized at this event with multiple awards highlighting both individual and project excellence.
We’re proud to congratulate Mason Mettler on being recognized with the Associated General Contractors - Nebraska Building Chapter Groundbreaker Award. This award highlights Mason’s innovation, bold vision, and impressive growth in the construction industry.
Mason’s journey with Beckenhauer Construction began as an intern, and through his dedication and leadership, he quickly advanced through positions to that of Project Manager. His commitment to teamwork, attention to detail, and positive approach to challenges have made him an invaluable member of our team. In 2021, he became the youngest employee in our company’s 146-year history to receive Employee of the Year—an achievement that underscored his hard work and dedication, and made even more meaningful by the fact that it was an employee-voted award.
Congratulations, Mason, on this well-deserved honor! We can’t wait to see where your talent and passion take you next.
We’re also excited to announce that the Adams County Justice Center has received an Honorable Mention in the “Projects $20-$50 Million” category at the Associated General Contractors - Nebraska Building Chapter Build Nebraska Awards. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire project team.
Spanning approximately 49,900, the 154-bed facility features prefabricated steel cells with a mezzanine for inmate housing. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art security measures, including a Master Control Room, full-body scanner, and advanced electronic systems.
Despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on supply chains, our team successfully navigated these obstacles, keeping the project on track and within budget. The new facility not only enhances security and services for Adams County but also provides improved conditions for staff and inmates.
Congratulations to the entire project team on this well-earned recognition!
We’d also like to recognize Beckenhauer Construction’s President, Joe Beckenhauer, for his dedicated leadership as he wraps up his second term as President of the Associated General Contractors - Nebraska Building Chapter. Joe’s commitment to the industry has been instrumental in advancing AGC’s mission, fostering collaboration, and supporting the future of construction in Nebraska.
His leadership has helped guide key initiatives, strengthen industry relationships, and promote excellence in construction. We’re grateful for his service and proud to have such strong representation within the AGC. Thank you, Joe, for your dedication and contributions!
